The Alliance Story
Growing up, I saw firsthand what it meant for a childcare center to feel like a second home. My parents, Nikki and Gary Robbins, dedicated their lives to creating exceptional learning environments for children in Minnesota — beginning with Peace of Mind Daycare and then growing Footprints Academy in Woodbury. I spent my childhood in classrooms, helping teachers, reading stories to toddlers, and watching families build lifelong friendships within those walls.
Those experiences shaped who I am today.
After graduating and working professionally in early childhood education, I felt called to carry my family’s mission forward — to build a center where children are genuinely seen, where parents feel supported, and where teachers are respected as the heart of the program.
So I packed up everything I had and moved to Mount Pleasant to open Alliance Childcare — named for the partnership between parents and teachers that helps children thrive.
At Alliance, we believe that:
· Childhood should feel magical, full of hands-on play and discovery.
· Every child deserves a personalized learning experience that builds confidence and sparks curiosity.
· Nutrition is important — which is why we prioritize scratch-made, wholesome meals that kids love.
· Teachers should be nurtured and empowered so they can give the very best to your children.
I am on-site every day, leading our team, supporting our families, and ensuring the highest standards of safety, learning, and love. Our program is licensed for infants through preschool, with school-age enrichment, plenty of outdoor play, and beautifully designed classrooms built to inspire young learners.
Alliance Childcare is more than a school — it’s a community shaped by decades of passion and experience. It’s the place where your child’s early memories will be made… and where I will know every child by name.
Welcome to the Alliance family — I can’t wait to grow with you.
Warmly,
Madelyn Solum
