The Alliance Story
From Mady Robbins, Owner & Director
Back in 1991, my mom, Nikki Robbins, graduated with a degree in Business Entrepreneurship and opened her very first childcare center in Woodbury, Minnesota in partnership with my Dad, Gary Robbins. It was tiny — just a little storefront in a strip mall — but it was filled with big dreams.
What started small grew into two thriving centers in two states, licensed for nearly 400 children, and a private elementary school serving Kindergarten through Sixth Grade. My siblings and I grew up right there in the classrooms, surrounded by learning, laughter, and love. My mom was there every day — later as our principal — and we saw firsthand the incredible impact she and my dad were making on thousands of families.
As I got older, I worked side-by-side with my parents, watching them build not just a business — but a community. A place where every child was known, valued, taught, and cherished. Somewhere along the way, I realized:
✨ This isn’t just what my family does. This is who we are.
So when the opportunity came to bring our legacy to South Carolina, I packed up my life and moved to Mount Pleasant to create a new chapter — Alliance Childcare — built on everything I learned from Peace of Mind Early Education Center and Footprints Academy… plus my own big dreams.
Alliance is a beautiful blend of:
-
Time-tested excellence from 30+ years of family experience
-
A modern, innovative approach to curriculum, nutrition, and classroom design
-
A true partnership with parents — the “alliance” that helps children thrive
Our values remain constant:
❤️ Love & relationships first
📚 Meaningful learning through play
🌱 Individualized care for each child
🥗 Nutritious meals made with intention
👩🏫 Amazing teachers who feel respected and supported
Every day, I get to walk into a place where magic happens — where babies take their first steps, toddlers grow into curious explorers, and preschoolers leap confidently into the next stage of life. And I still can’t believe… I get to do this.
When families ask what makes Alliance special, the truth is — the answer doesn’t fit in a sentence.
But you can feel it the moment you step inside.
We would be honored to partner with your family.
We’ll love your little one like our own, celebrate their milestones, and give them the strongest foundation for life ahead.
Call us, visit us, come meet the team — we can’t wait to welcome you home to Alliance. 💛
Warmly,
Mady Robbins
