Toddlers

24-32/33 months

Our toddler program includes many fun activities throughout the day including signing, dancing, learning about shapes and colors, sign language and so much more!

Our Philosophy

We work in Alliance with parents and become an extension of your family. In order for the program to succeed the kids need to be having fun throughout the day, which keeps them excited to come back the next day, which is a sure way the parents will know their kids are taken care of, and happy each day, leaving parents worry-free, knowing their children are in the best place they could be!

A typical day in our toddler room consists of being greeted by your child’s teacher with many extra hugs and snuggles, especially on those harder mornings during drop off. The teachers will also spend more one-on-one time with your child during the mornings giving them extra love and attention especially with children during their transition time from infants to toddlers. Alliance is a very loving and caring program. Here, we provide many different fun activities throughout the day to engage the toddlers in areas such as singing, dancing, listening to stories, learning about shapes, colors and animals along with sign language and self-help skills. Nap time is also a wonderful time where the teachers play soothing music while rubbing the children’s backs to help them fall asleep. Throughout nap children also have many items to help comfort them such as pacifiers, pillows, dolls and blankets or anything else that they may need. During this time, children are encouraged to nap but those who do not wish to nap will have quiet time for self-directed activities. This is also another great opportunity for them to spend one on one time with their teacher. After a busy morning of learning, fun and play our afternoon focus is on allowing the children to choose their activities with the guidance of our staff. Rest assured, throughout the day your child is loved and well cared for by everyone who works with them!!!

TRANSITIONS:
Sometime between the ages of 32 and 35 months, toddlers will begin their transition from toddlers to preschool. The decision of when each child begins this transition is based on many things: the individual child’s development, the ages of other children in the room (as transitions are usually done with a buddy), availability of space in the preschool program, and many other factors. Parents are encouraged to discuss transition issues with toddler and preschool staff. The transition schedule of each child will be determined by the Alliance staff, and discussed with parents prior to the start of the transition.

All toddlers pay the toddler rate as they transition to pre-school (between 32-35 months). At that time, they will continue at the higher toddler rate until they are potty trained, meaning the child’s teacher reports they have been accident free at school for a full two week period, including nap time. The rate will then drop to the lower preschool rate on the next billing cycle. Parents should also notify the billing department to confirm their child has reached official “potty trained” status. The bill will be adjusted on the next billing cycle.
